Pitt Meadows Shotokan Karate offers classes in two programs twice a week at École Pitt Meadows Elementary. Shotokan is designed to teach self-defence, build self-confidence, stimulate a sense of well-being and provide a greater sense of self-awareness when faced with difficult situations. The program’s primary goal is to teach respect for one’s self and others, as well as basic self-defence techniques. Home Alone Workshop
This two-hour Zoom course is an opportunity for parents/caregivers who want to prepare with their child for staying at home alone. Topics covered include dealing with emergencies, answering the door, snacks/cooking and gauging your child’s readiness to be home alone. Our evening workshops are open to all families in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Parents/guardians must participate with the child.

KidSport
KidSport provides grants to help cover the costs of registration fees so that all kids aged 18 and under in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows can play a season of sport.
Jumpstart
Families sometimes need financial assistance to get their children into a sport or physical activity. Jumpstart is committed to helping all families access a range of activities, from boxing to bowling and skating to skiing, and more.
